The Radim 3A is designed for the continuous determination of the radon activity concentration in indoor air.
The Radim 3A is designed for the continuous determination of the radon activity concentration in indoor air. Additionally, air pressure, temperature and humidity are recorded.

Radon is measured by alpha-spectrometry of the 222Rn decay product 218Po after electrostatic precipitation on the surface of a semiconductor detector; soild radon decay products in the air are filtered out before entering the measuring chamber. The length of the measuring interval can be changed by the user in 30 minute steps from 30 minutes up to 24 hours. The Radim 3 operates with batteries, rechargeables or power supply. The device is operated menu-driven (keyboard on the front side) or by PC; the selected parameters are shown on a display. If the radon activity concentration in several rooms of a building should be measured, the beginning and the length of each measuring cycle can be programmed before starting the first measuring interval. Afterwards the device has to be placed into the corresponding rooms at the scheduled times. All data are stored in an internal memory, can be exported via PC and processed later in MS-Office programs like MS-Excel.
